About Me

My Brief Background

I grew up in New Brunswick, Canada and I am the 6th in a family of 8 children.  I am a Norwex Team Co-ordinator in the city of Mississauga, ON and surrounding area of the GTA.  My husband and I cherish every day with our son who is 3 years old and starting school this year (sigh).  Where does all the time go?  I have been a consultant with Norwex since October 2011 and have helped many families on their quest to reduce harmful chemicals in their home.

Why I chose Norwex

On August 30th 2011 my sister introduced me to Norwex.  She showed me the cloths she bought as well as the Norwex catalogue and that evening I saw a window cleaning demo.  The consultant doing the demo told me that the Enviro cloth removes 99.9% of bacteria and inactivates it within 24 hours.

Since I wanted everything in the catalogue the $59.99 fee for the consultant kit that included some of my most wanted items made perfect sense along with the great consultant discount.  I signed up that day.  I was so excited to start I wanted to get these Norwex products into my home so I could start reducing my use of chemicals for my family’s health.  Especially for my 3 year old son.

As I researched the company and the products I quickly became very passionate about chemical free cleaning.  When I started taking a deeper look at common chemicals my excitement for Norwex products grew.

  • I learned there were 80,000 new chemicals made in the past 6 years
  • The air inside your home is 5-7 times more toxic than the air outside

What really drove it home for me is that children are different than adults.  If something is a carcinogen (cancer causing), on average the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) says it will be 10-65 times more carcinogenic to children.  These hazards are magnified for kids because they absorb more and they don’t have mature immune systems to detoxify.  Many of the heath issues that children of our time face are on the rise.  Illnesses like autism, asthma, an increase in allergies, childhood cancer, and diabetes to name a few have had their increase in diagnosed cases linked to environmental exposure.

I also knew I was on to something that could really help people when I learned that words like “herbal”, “natural”, and “organic” have no legal definition.  That means anybody can put anything in a bottle and call it natural.  Guess what?  They do.  There are no laws to get rid of these chemicals.  The FDA doesn’t even assess these products.  These manufacturers do not even have to list all the ingredients on the label.

I felt kind of sick by all of this and I wanted to make an immediate change and I wanted to educate others about these things too.  So now I am telling everyone I know and meet about Norwex and the real difference it makes.  Before I knew it I was doing Norwex parties and demos in families homes.

  • It’s a fantastic job.
  • I am my own boss
  • I set my own hours
  • I am paid very well

Working with Norwex is flexible which means in every way I am putting my family first.
